The steps to replace an EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) Boat Mat are relatively straightforward, but require some care and the proper tools. Below is a general step-by-step guide to replacing EVA boat mats:

1. Prepare tools and materials:
• New EVA anti-slip mat
• Cleaning agent (such as boat cleaner or mild soapy water)
• Soft cloth or sponge
• Measuring tool (ruler or tape measure)
• Scissors or utility knife
• Adhesive that may be needed (if the new mat is not self-adhesive)
• Cleaning gloves (optional)
• Clean old pads:
• First, remove the old anti-slip mat. If it is stick-on, you may need to use a plastic scraper or similar tool to carefully peel it off from the edges to avoid damaging the deck surface.
• Thoroughly clean the area where the anti-slip mat was placed to remove any remaining adhesive, dirt and debris. Wipe clean thoroughly with detergent and a soft cloth or sponge, and allow to dry completely.
• Measure and cut new pad:
• Use a measuring tool to accurately measure the dimensions of the area where new matting will be installed. Make sure to account for any fasteners, openings or irregular shapes.
